Bookmark di Novembre

Ci sono davvero moltissime segnalazioni che per mancanza di tempo o
spazio non passano qui sul blog. Alla maniera di Smashing Magazine,
vorrei introdurre un appuntamento mensile dei bookmark, così da proporvi
le segnalazioni interessanti del mese appena passato che non hanno ancora trovato
un ritaglio nei vari post del blog.
Dei molti bookmark che ho raccolto a novembre vi presento i 20 che
maggiormente meritano una segnalazione: dal markup ai CSS, dal web design
all’ispirazione… Ecco la lista:

molto interessante ‘CSS fix for Graphical Input Submit Button Off-Set’
.submit { vertical-align: middle; *vertical-align: text-bottom; }
ma non ho capito la seconda parte del css:
*vertical-align: text-bottom;qualche info?

Alex, si tratta di un hack simile all’underscore hack. L’asterisco crea una dichiarazione vista in realtà solo da IE (tutte le versioni). Ovviamente però la tecnica, come l’underscore hack del resto, non passa la validazione.
Le strategie per avere una soluzione un po’ più pulita sono due: usare il commento condizionale, oppure degli hack/filtri che consentano la validazione. Alla seconda maniera, mantenendo quindi un CSS unico e la validazione:
.submit{ vertical-align: middle}
* html .submit, *:first-chilld+html .submit{
vertical-align:text-bottom
